Hello!

My name is Paul Jennens, but you can call me Paul721. Sadly, I do not own a Wii U, but I plan to purchase one soon! So with that being said, I'll probably be quite inactive as I don't really have anything to contribute yet.

Anyway, I'll see you guys around!

EDIT: I also have an RVLution account, which most of you already know about.

My school doesn't block this site, RVLution, Kuribo64, or any other similar sites. It only blocks... you know... bad sites. You know what I'm referring to.

EDIT: Also, MrRean and RoadrunnerWMC, do you plan to fix the bug where the board thinks a new post was made even though someone only made a revision to their already existing post? For instance, when I save this post and go back to the home page, it will state that I just posted a few seconds ago even though I really made this post about 30 minutes ago.

That's actually an intentional feature. It lets you know that there may be more new content in the thread.

Here's the relevant part of the Blargboard Espressoboard source code, from pages/editpost.php:

// mark the thread as new if we edited the last post // all we have to do is update the thread's lastpostdate if($isLastPost) { Query("UPDATE {threads} SET lastpostdate={0} WHERE id={1}", $now, $thread['id']); Query("UPDATE {forums} SET lastpostdate={0} WHERE id={1}", $now, $fid); }

Oh, okay. That's actually a cool feature. Thanks for the reply.

Why would you want it removed?

it actually gives a way better chance of people actually seeing the edit

I never said that I wanted the feature removed; I initially thought it was a bug, so I brought it to the the owners' attention, hoping they would fix it.

Well, if you hoped they would fix it, you probably wanted it removed

I wanted the owners to fix it because I initially thought it was a bug that they didn't know about, so I brought it to their attention. Whenever I encounter a bug, I usually want it fixed. Also, as I stated before, I think it's a pretty cool feature. Anyway, let's just drop this now. I don't want this conversation to get out of hand.

On the subject of school, I have two exams tomorrow and my third one is on May 22nd. When do you guys have your exams?

To be quite honest, I don't mind Windows 8 or 10. I think they're both pretty good. But, of course, Windows 7 is easily the best.

Read the opening post, sir.

Thank you for this tutorial, MrRean.

Also, where exactly are NSMBU's tilesets located?

They are inside the level archives in course_res_pack.

Oh yeah, I forgot that each level has its own tileset based on the tiles used in that level, so therefore, that means each level file is also a tileset, correct?

RoadrunnerWMC explained this and announced a new editor fork, making use of the new tileset system, here.

I already watched Skawo's video regarding the new editor and I read RoadrunnerWMC's post regarding the new editor, too. It looks very interesting.

Finally, where are the backgrounds located and how can I actually open a tileset in Puzzle HD?

Backgrounds are in the distant_view folder.

Thanks, but you did not answer my last question, so I'll just rephrase it: If the tilesets are in fact packed into the level files, then why can't Puzzle HD open said files?

Oh, okay. Can someone else answer my question, then?

Also, why doesn't the "Backgrounds" tab open in Reggie U? (I'm sorry for all of these questions.)

I had the same problem. I later realized that the file wasn't opening because I had the word "EUR:" in the target of the shortcut. I had to delete that word. So, basically, your target should look like this:

*insert directory to JNUSTool here* 0005000010101E00 *insert NUS title key here* v0

Are you sure that you found the right title key? Does it start with F11016?

Did you just pull that number out of your ass or is that actually true? Because, to be honest, I think about 98% of the users on this board are from RVLution.

Yeah, I guess so.

Also, this board was only advertised on RVLution, so it's expected that a few of its users would make an account here.

Yes, it works on "Auto view" and "Mobile view". I tried it myself.

Can you guys implement an option where users are sorted by their Star Coin count in the "Member list"? I think that would be cool.

I saw a lot of Game Over screens in SMG2 because it was my first game of the Galaxy series. I was awful at that game. In the first SMG game, however, I don't think I ever saw the Game Over screen (and if I did, it was only once or twice) because I had experience from playing and fully completing SMG2.
